  1. How beautiful and sad.

    • When I saw this words on a wall in London I had so many memories and thoughts… It says it all, in a few words… The most staggering line… But so is life, one moment sunshine, another hurricane, another rainbow…

      • This clears some things up for me. I wasn’t sure if you were writing all these beautiful poems–some in French and some in Italian as well. But no matter, what you found is poignant. I only see the “hurricane” in this one though…or, more fittingly, it’s opposite, “drought,” for the “eager kiss” is no longer there.
Again, very nice words and image.

      • Oh, be careful, some of my posts are quotations, or translations I’ve tried to make after lyrics of songs I absolutely loved at some point of my existance…. I mark the quotations though…
There is one thing that I strongly believe: something as simple as a word or a smile can change someone’s day… It happened to me so I really value it… so I am trying to give a bit of feeling…
As for the hurricane…. well, it happened to me too, I know the value of passion and sadness and emptiness and solitude and childish love… We humans are grateful maybe only if happiness lasts forever, but then, truth is we would not apreciate it as happiness anymore… So I personally am grateful for all that was and is… Everything has a sense, even if sometimes I’m much too blind to see it.

    • what passed through your mind while you saw the picture ?

      April 16, 2012 at 16:03

      • i had to re-read it in order to see the “once.” that changed everything. what then passed through was someone who no longer felt loved as she once did. or maybe “wanted,” not necessarily loved.

      • yes… whoever wrote that knows how love and life are…
So tell me, how often have you seen something like this when you went out on the street?
I admit, I am hunting moments… but they are so very rare…

      • always hunting. it’s an artist’s nature. it’s why some people write poems and some don’t. if your mind is made of sheet metal, strong in all directions, we have a soft spot where certain things push a little extra, make a little imprint, get stuck there. then we look at those things a little differently.

other people, their sheet metal is stronger, and everything just quietly rolls by, no soft spots for things to leave an impression and make them think.

      • great description… 🙂 you know it because you are hunting yourself… 🙂

      • just like you. i have certain trees that are favorites. i’ll look for them, for the light to be right, and if it’s not right then i’ll make sure to drive that way at a different time just in case.

      • I have lived few years in Germany… I was fortunate enough to meet and talk to one of their writers… He is not internationally known, but more of a german writer. He wrote many things, poems and various books but mainly crime/investigations books… He had zillions of notes and details, even from the time when he worked for the police, in his youth… A fascinating guy, Friedrich, I can still see his face and eyes, he had beautiful eyes… Tragic story somehow, he was inlove with a friend of mine, a German woman… She left her husband for him, poor guy, another wonderful guy, but a quiet guy, even though he was a pilot working for a wellknown commercial airline… And her husband really loved her…
so many trees and so many stories and so much sadness all around…

      • life is made out of moments (our moments or other people’s moments….)
