one was a gift to me from her. so really she wanted the cat. another was rescued from beneath a house that was going to be torn down. another was a stray found near her parents’ workplace. another was found on the side of the road at the end of summer where someone just left it after having it in their summer place. there was another, but i can’t remember it.
