My name is Adela Galasiu. I am a Romanian woman living in the UK, near London. I am proud of being Romanian. I am proud of being myself.
I am not here to find a partner, a romance, a twin-flame. I am not here for the money. I am not here for my ego.
Why am I here and who am I then? I’m just a human being. Loner. Reader. Writer. Poet. Lover. Dreamer. Seeker of answers and truth. Traveller through life.
My blog is called “memyselfandela” – me, myself and Ela (my pen name) – because I have always been a loner as I travelled through life. In the beginning my blog was anonymous, but I have decided to show my identity one day because I want whoever reads my thoughts to know that I am a real person. I don’t know how long my journey will be, but it will never be a silent journey. I want to share with you why I think that life is beautiful and why it should be lived with passion.
I believe that life has lost, for many people, its deeper meaning. That is why I am trying to find every day something new to share with this world of lonely souls. I am here because I am a voice and because I have a message to convey, something extremely powerful, something that cannot be forged, bought or stolen. I have a voice, the voice of my existence, the imprint of being alive.
I am the carrier of a million stories that I want to tell. Stories of loved ones, of strangers or stories of mine, stories of loss and fight and love and hope, all saying that LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
It’s not the awards or the rating that I wanted to find with this blog. It’s the feelings that I wanted to share, because we live in a world that has often lost the heart and the feelings. And a life without feelings is no living at all.

Dear Alastair,
I know that I am only an immigrant like many others in UK , yet I can look any English person in the eye and tell them the truth: I worked a hell of a lot and I made many sacrifices to be where I am now. I am proud of who I am, I work, I am trained, I am honest, I have an university degree, I pay taxes… If I have received anything from the UK I have honestly returned that thing many times more.And I don’t think I am a loss for the UK, on the contrary. π
And yes, English is not my first language and I might still make mistakes. But you know, I dare whoever makes fun of that to speak to me in Romanian, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Latin… can they do that?
I wish you would have let that post and comment so that I can tell this directly to Mr. Dave Nash.
Thank you for apologizing, yet you know, it’s not ony 1 person that talks like that, there are so many here having such attitude. I don’t care because I am a fighter, but I think it’s quite sad and unfair towards people like me.

It’s more than sad and unfair, it is … well, abusive. It’s the first time I have had anything like that on my blog.
I am impressed with what you have done. I have a couple of friends who fled Idi Amin’s reign of terror and they have become successful people.
